GINGERFEST!

The "MC1R" exhibition ran between 3rd and 29th September at Quadrant Lounge, 25/27 Lichfield Street, Wolverhampton WV1 1EQ (tel: 01902 653411),

The opening night event, "GINGERFEST" (and the "MC1R" exhibition) attracted regional, national and international press interest, including almost simultaneous television coverage on BBC and ITV (Central). Attendees of the event - mainly participants and their friends/families - were offered ginger-themed refreshments (carrot cake, ginger beer, ginger cake etc) and a range of cocktails, specially prepared by the staff of the Quadrant Lounge.

The exhibition was timed to tie in nicely with the dutch "National Redhead Day" event (7th September)in Breda.

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to everyone who took part in the project, Min and the excellent staff at the Quadrant Lounge, everyone who emailed me, came to see the show or left a message in the Visitors' Book, and those who helped the cause by spreading the word (such as Vicky at the uni press office to name but one).

I may choose to re-visit this project in a year or so, so if you didn't get involved this time - watch this space.
